Ben joined the team in 2016 and heads up the in-house video and production department. He brings 15 years’ experience in production, spanning traditional broadcast and digital and social, through to the new, advanced virtual landscape. His specific areas of expertise include live streaming production, storytelling, messaging strategy for video, animation, video technology research and development, studio design and presentation skills coaching. Client experience includes brands and organisations across multiple sectors including Amazon Prime Video, Caterpillar, McCain and The National Lottery and Spotify. Pivoting at the beginning of the pandemic to a raft of new remote recording and real-time broadcast methods and processes, Ben’s primary focus is to enable clients to present with confidence and engage fully with audiences, from any location. From his early days in Australia as a post-production supervisor and director of photography, Ben has strived to be at the forefront of production innovation. A five-year stint in market research provided him with an understanding of analytics and consumer behaviour and he joined That Lot following six years at multinational news and media company, Adfero in the UK.

"What I’ll be looking for is clarity in terms of the initial marketing challenge and the resulting message. Do I come away from the entry with a clear takeaway and has it changed the way I regard the brand or organisation in question? I’ll also be looking at how it made me feel – was there a strong sense of emotion, style or “wow” factor? Was the idea original? Something I had not seen before? And importantly, was it targeted and delivered well? And finally, does the work feel like it belongs in the 2020's – was it inclusive and does it speak to a maturing in the cultural narrative."
